I am so excited to have a new running Buddy! Well now that my *former* Buddy is off on her Honeymoon.

I ran backwards majority of the time encouraging Johnathen to keep going. I taught him how to pace himself and not run like he is running from a bear! On the final stretch I told him this is where you give it your all, you go as fast as you can, don't stop until you are through the finish line. After my pep talk I told him I would count to 3 and then he was to GO! Guess who took off on 2? Yep Johnathen. Oh NO you don't little boy! I was not going to have that happen. He still beat me by .02 seconds.....

I am so Thankful to be surrounded by so many STRONG Women, and here are two of them

Lisa and Teresa are AMAZING women in my life! Both are Angel Moms. Both have been and example to me of Strength, Endurance, and Unconditional Love. Both have so much Courage. Both are so Strong. It was an honor to "run" and get muddy with you Ladies!

Neleh Cheer Camp!

This is how the conversation went:
Mom: Hey Neleh, do you want to go to a Cheer Clinic with Ambrian? (one of the YW in our ward and a babysitter)
Neleh: No
Mom: Oh come on you might like it. You learn cheers and dances. You get a t-shirt and candy. Sophie will be there...
Neleh: after MUCH thought.... ok fine but I am NOT going to perform in front of anyone!!!

I can NOT tell you how many times I have heard "Let's go Maroon, let's go Gold, Maroon and Gold!" being chanted from the trampoline. When I look out there she is doing her whole Cheer routine.

I am kinda a BIG deal.... Aug 14, 2014 Dental Work

Heart Kids and Tooth Decay seem to go hand in hand. We have been so vigil to brush and floss Severin's teeth. You can imagine how much my heart sank when I brushed his teeth and saw big holes in his sweet little teeth. I cried. I knew what this would mean for my Mister. We took him to his regular 6 month check up a week after I noticed the decay. The verdict from that visit was 8 cavities, 7 needing baby root canals, and a referral to a Pediatric Dentist. Gut punch. Sedated Dentistry = trip to Primary Childrens . Foreign objects in his mouth to harbor endocarditis causing bacteria! *BREATHE* Not only did I need to find a Pediatric Dentist but one who had rights at PCH, who wasn't afraid of my kids heart, who was willing to work with a Cardiac Anesthesiologist, all covered on our Dental AND Medical Insurance Plan because both would be billed for this procedure. Yes I cried, a lot. We were able to get him into a Pediatric Dentist that was only 45 mins away. From that exam still 8 cavities, but hopefully only 4 baby root canals. The Dental OR was scheduled for the next month. Many hours on the phone with the Dentist office (s), Insurance Company,Cardiologist and hospital Severin was given the GO for treatment.

I was able to stay with him and hold his hand until he was asleep

He was so chill in recovery, all the Nurses commented on how cute he was and look at that hair and those eyelashes!

Nice new teethies without any ouchies!

They were able to do all fillings! NO root canals! They made his restorations have bigger spacing so we can floss better. He has some tricky teeth that were really close to the nerve so we will keep an eye on those. I am SO very GRATEFUL! This kid likes to be expensive in a one of a kind sort of way

Cruise! February 2014

Awhile back I was talking with my friend Kara about doing something cool for our 10 year Anniversary. I found out it would be their 10 year also. So I said we should go somewhere together!  Months pass... And then we get serious about planning this trip.
It has to be:
Cruise or and all inclusive- no surprise expenses
Someplace WARM!
An Adventure, someplace new none of us had been to
Less then a week away from our kids- we both have kids the same ages and we did not think they would be ok without us for that long, or the people babysitting would not last- either one or both
Safe
On a $1500 budget
Come back tan or for me sunburnt


We found a 4 day cruise to Baja Mexico! We had stops in Catalina, and Ensenada.
